Typically, processes like Recruiting, Goals/Performance, Compensation, Talent Management, Personal Development, Learning and Workforce planning are run in isolated silos, for lack of a better word. HR staff involved in these typically struggle to meet their immediate goals in their core process. Companies, as a whole, have difficulties to create and maintain links between any two of these processes, not to mention mastering integration of all of them. Two key reasons for this are the historic, piece by piece development of the processes, sometimes recent, met with setting up new departments, and the lack of intuitive, easy to use tools and instruments to create the level of efficiency required to easily integrate the processes and reap the benefits of a common approach. With the advent of integrated, easy to use platforms, like SAP SuccessFactors, the time has come to reconsider. It turns out, that Job Profiles are the common element of all these processes. They can be shared, they tear down walls between isolated islands and create a vast amount of increased efficiency, transparency, better data quality and more educated decisions, to name just a few of the benefits, of the new Master of the Talent Universe.
